Stock Audit Intern

Job Summary

We are looking for an immediate joiner in Calicut for the role of Stock Audit Intern. The Stock Audit Intern will assist the audit team in verifying inventory records, conducting physical stock checks, and ensuring accuracy between physical stock and accounting records. This role involves travel between multiple units across Calicut and requires effective communication in Malayalam and English. The internship provides hands-on exposure to inventory management, audit procedures, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in physical verification of inventory at warehouses, factories, or retail locations.

• Support reconciliation of physical stock with books of accounts, ERP systems, and stock statements.

• Help identify discrepancies such as shortages, excess stock, damaged or obsolete inventory.

• Assist in checking stock valuation, classification, and inventory aging.

• Document audit observations and support preparation of stock audit working papers.

• Collect and organize audit evidence, photographs, and supporting documents.

• Coordinate with store, operations, and finance teams during audit visits.

• Follow audit checklists, internal policies, and guidance from seniors.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of accounting and inventory concepts

• Strong attention to detail

• Willingness to learn audit and verification procedures

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and spreadsheets

• Good communication skills in Malayalam and English

• Open to travel between units across Calicut

• Ability to work with deadlines and instructions from seniors

• Ability to travel for audit assignments (if required)
